Driftland Cabin

Welcome to Driftland Cabin, a charming, hand-crafted log home nestled on nearly 3 acres of lush, wooded land in the gated Old Timberline community. This inviting cabin offers rustic charm and modern amenities. The open living area with a cozy wood stove is perfect for relaxing and spending quality time with loved ones. On the rear deck, a brand new 6-person hot tub, gas fire table and pizza oven are available for you to enjoy. We provide a kayak for guests to enjoy on nearby Sand Run Lake.

Old Timberline is a gated community, and guests will need to complete a Rental Authorization Form before checking in. We will provide you with this form once you make a reservation.

There are abundant outdoor opportunities including access to trails and two lakes (non-motorized boats only) within Old Timberline, plus direct access from the community to extensive trail systems in Dolly Sods and the Wildlife Refuge. Timberline Mountain ski resort is just outside the community, and more skiing, hiking, golf, sightseeing and other activities are a short drive away.

Four wheel drive vehicles are required in winter, as Canaan Valley averages over 150 inches of snow annually. The driveway is flat but there are steep grades on some roads in the community. Free parking for 3-4 vehicles.

Mountain bikes may be used on roads within the community, but are not allowed on community trails or in the Dolly Sods Wilderness. Most trails in the Wildlife Refuge are open to bikes.
